Not at all, you are not alone out there. A great guide and camp assistant are doing all they can to make living in the bush a very pleasant experience for you. International groups count maximum 12 persons. Your co-travellers or the safari team will help you set up and put down your tent, even though they are easy enough to set up alone if you like.
Going solo on a safari adventure
Travelling alone can have many advantages. Being a solo traveller myself, I do realize it is sometimes hard to get a reasonable price, especially if you do not like to share a room with someone else or with a whole crowd in a hostel. That is why I am especially thrilled about the camping safaris in Botswana. The added cost for single use of a tent is very reasonable, about 100 EUR, and you get double the space so your luggage easily fits in with you.
But wait, alone on a safari in the middle of the wild bush?
You will be part of an international safari expedition and all participants share your love for nature and wildlife. This makes the camping safari’s perfect for meeting new, interesting people from all over the world, or maybe even from your own country. Travelling alone and making new friends has never been that easy!
